麦奎因原计划为BBC执导一套6集5小时时长的剧集《小斧子》，讲述5个不同的故事，而在后来麦奎因把每个故事都进行了扩充，最终变成了5部电影长片。五部长片在BBC与亚马逊Prime Video播出时间确定：[红树林](11月20日)、[情人的摇滚](11月27日)、[教育](12月4日)、[亚历克斯·惠特尔](12月11日)、[红白蓝](12月18日)。【小斧子】五部曲讲述了1960年代末至1980年代中期伦敦西印度社区的故事。标题引用了一句非洲谚语：“如果你是大树，我们就是小斧子”，这句谚语因为鲍勃·马利演唱的同名歌曲而广为流传。[情人的摇滚]讲述了发生在1980年代初的一场布鲁斯派对上，关于年轻爱侣和音乐的虚构故事。Amarah-Jae St Aubyn、迈克尔·沃德主演，麦奎因与考蒂亚·纽兰共同编剧。

本片讲述了冬捕开始前的七天里，发生在中国东北一座老工业城市的一个老人的故事。丈夫去世几年后，82岁的赵丽华患上了轻度抑郁症。她打算去职工浴池泡澡，却多次被拒之门外而且遭到羞辱。儿子朱红兵为了找到两个陪护母亲洗澡的女人费尽周折，一个看似简单的日常生活，摆在这对母子面前却显得异常地艰难。母亲最后也没实现在职工浴池泡澡的心愿，尽管她曾在这个工厂工作了一辈子。对于赵丽华而言，“泡澡”是洗礼一般的自我清洁，有尊严地“安乐”地离开，是她最后的选择……

Indeed the streets Zongshan Donglu which contains the Bund, Pudong, the famous Oriental Pearl is not the stock market and everyone. We must go farther Jingan District to discover the social wealth of this city . Why attach immense cold and nervous architectures while the Shanghai Blood flows through the veins of its rural ?
